Most western boots keep the heel in the same colour as the upper. This one does not. The stacked block heel is left in a warm natural tone that cuts against the shaft above it, and it is the first thing anyone notices about the boot. Western scroll stitching sweeps across the shaft in the same shade as the upper, so the pattern works as texture rather than contrast. Look closely and the scroll reads as a raised line across the surface; step back and the boot is a block of flat colour.
